Electronic Greeting Cards
With
all the holidays throughout the year, the Internet and Email has made it easy
to keep up on all the cards you might need to send to your family and friends. And most of these services are free. However, if you go to a site that offers
electronic greeting cards, they will tell you before you order whether there is
a charge for the service.
When
you wish to send an electronic greeting card to someone, they will need to have
Internet access and an Email address, and you will need to know your
recipient’s Email address.
Almost
all of the electronic greeting cards available will allow you to add your own
message on the card that will be sent.
Some will even allow you to title the card yourself. Basically, you are provided with a picture,
some of them animated, possibly a verse as well, and you will customize the
card to your own taste and sentiment.
You can even include a musical background on a lot of them.
The
first step is to find a greeting card site with a card that you want to
send. Attached to this document is a
listing of some of the most popular greeting card sites. However, this is only a very small sampling
of what is available. In fact, one of
the sites listed is nothing more than a listing of even more greeting card
sites that you can jump to from there.
Feel
free to take a look at what’s available on these sites. And you can search for even more greeting
card sites by going to your favorite search engine and searching for electronic
greeting cards. If you want to search
for cards for a specific occasion, such as Valentine’s Day, search for Valentine’s
Day cards.

Using Blue Mountain as
an example, this document will demonstrate the basics of sending an electronic Mother’s
Day card.

Additionally, some of the options discussed here will be slightly different from site to site. Each selection you make may lead you to screens that contain more selections to choose from. Additionally you may need to scroll through the page using the scroll bar on the right hand edge of the page.

You will be given an opportunity to make changes to your card before it is actually sent, so don’t worry about being locked into anything you might enter on your card. You can experiment to see if you like what it looks like, then change anything that you have entered.

When you receive an electronic greeting card, you will receive an Email message notifying you where and how to retrieve it.

To
go to the Website to view this card, click on the hyper-link in the message (in
this case – http://www1.bluemountain.com/cards/box5823u/jbg5rxwuvxudhp.htm). When you do, you will able to see the
greeting card that was sent to you by your special friend.
